Brooke's Hockey Chronicles:

Rooting for the underdog since 1985.

11 February 2007

I think I'm done.

Between work, surgery, classes, a sinus infection, and a slight (?) feeling of disgust* about the state of the Bruins, I've either been too busy or too unmotivated to post. But now? Even though I anticipated such a trade, and even though last night's shootout was exciting** . . . Well, couldn't we at least pick up two *healthy* players?!

I'm quite sure numerous people have already written about what we've gotten for Joe Thornton now. That line should only get more interesting (no offense to our newest Bruins).

The most exciting things I've seen in the last few weeks are Phil Kessel and Brandon Bochenski scoring. At least the Flyers can hope for a draft pick.

* A 10-goal loss? Let's be serious.
** As exciting as a shootout can be, given that I was bored of them in November.

I think it was a good trade, but yeah it would have been better to get two healthy players.

You had surgery, I hope everything is OK??
