Brooke's Hockey Chronicles:

Rooting for the underdog since 1985.

Ehh . . . and Hmm . . .

The Ottawa Senators are misbehaving. Yeah, they lost by one, but now they're down two. I like JSG, but in the battle of the goalies . . . Okay, so, I already told you I'm rooting for the Sens. I loved his last trip to the finals and I was dying for Anaheim to win then. But that was then! Anyway, he was featured at the NHLPA site earlier this week.

Sidney Crosby
is the new captain of the Pittsburgh Penguins, making him the youngest captain since his fellow Pearson Award nominee Vinny Lecavalier (and the youngest in league history by a whopping 27 days). Kind of funny that five months made that much of a difference, but what do I know about 19-year-old boys?

Oh, wait -- A lot, actually! I used to live with them in Peabody Hall (the happiest place on earth). Aww, memories! I can't name 'em all, but Third, Seventh, and Second Floor Boys: Here's to you!
