Brooke's Hockey Chronicles:

Rooting for the underdog since 1985.

Stanley Cup Finals: Game One.

Okay, who saw that coming?! The Ottawa Senators were up 2-1 and oops: Anaheim won, 3-2. Third quarters can be like that (just ask the Boston Bruins). It should be pretty clear -- based on my goalie preference and my sentimentality toward tradition -- for whom I'm rooting, what with San Jose and the Sabres out.

Why does the NHL not show its entire final series on network TV? Hockey can so not afford the lack of publicity in this country . . .

Are any of these games going to be televised so we can watch? I mean, as much as I enjoy reading your recaps of games and whatnot, I really would prefer to watch them.

I HEAR YOU! The rest of the games are on NBC, starting Saturday night. Yeah, great publicity for the sport, eh? Sigh . . . :)
